Recreational Camp Manual

The recreational camp resource manual contains materials that will assist you in choosing the right decision for your campers when it comes to making healthy and safe choices. Navigate through the sections of the resource binder on the left hand side of this page.

The Outbreak Management section of the manual will outline our joint roles (the camp and the SMDHU) during any outbreak or case of a reportable disease. It will also provide information and resources for the development of policies, procedures or contingency plans to effectively and efficiently manage outbreaks or reportable diseases.

We recommend the content of this manual be shared with all your staff, particularly the nurses, to ensure the binder is put to good use.
The resources section provides links to fact sheets that are available for you to print or multiple copies can be ordered through the health unit. Posters and brochures are not available for printing online but you will be able to order copies by calling Health Connection.
